Robyn Rihanna Fenty also called Rihanna by the Barbadians is a songwriter and singer. Her hits are Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. As a young, successful singer-songwriter she is already one of the most successful selling artists. Her parents are born in Barbados and she began singing as a child. Because of the chaos that surrounded her family and the arguments that her parents were having, she turned to music. She soon decided that she wanted to pursue a career as a performer. When she was in high-school she formed a band and auditioned at the auditions for Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was blown away at her abilities. She was then moved from the city of her birth to New York to start a profession as a full-time singer. Rihanna dropped her debut album, and was an overnight star. Rihanna's peppy songs were the favorites among the young who pushed her into the world of film. As a talented young woman Rihanna has been recognized as a teen idol. Rihanna also puts her fame to good use, and has been active in many charity causes.
